Petition to Give Parents the Right To Opt Their Child Out of RSE

The debate will take place on Monday 25 February at 4.30pm in Westminster Hall, which is the second debating chamber of the House of Commons. Helen Jones MP, the Chair of the Committee, will open the debate.

The debate will also be broadcast online and you can watch it by visiting Parliamentlive.tv: http://www.parliamentlive.tv/Commons

How you can help?

You can help by contacting your local MP and raising concerns about RSE and the fact parents rights to withdraw their children from Relationship Ed/RSE have been taken away. It is a basic human right under international law for parents to educate their child in accordance with their beliefs and this has been taken away.

Please ask them to support the debate to give parents the right to opt out – on 25th Feb.

You can find out who your local MP is and send a generated email in 3 clicks by visiting this link:https://www.stoprse.org/email-you-mp/

The actual petition remains open until June 18th, 2019 but will only be debated on 25th Feb, 2019.

.

We believe it is the parent’s fundamental right to teach their child RSE topics or to at least decide who teaches them and when and how they are taught. We want the right to opt our children out of RSE when it becomes mandatory in Sept 2020.

Thank you!
